COMMENT: Beach House -EN ROUTE- Guyana to Tobago, Expect A.M. Arrival…..Updating the position report ahead of schedule. 82 miles to go to the East end of Tobago, now abeam \”Boca de La Serpte\” (The Serpents Mouth). This is the passage between
Venezuela and Trinidad. The North passage is called \”The Dragon\’s Mouth\”… Sounds very Pirates of the Caribbean. We had a mini boo boo today. The spinnaker tack blew out, no worries, got it all down quickly. We\’ve the full main and genneker up doing 8.5-10 knots for the last 10 hours; we\’re flying in really smooth seas on a beam reach. I\’ll update the position as we make the turn and then when we are anchored.

I\’ll update the blog after our visit later this afternoon. We are now officially \”Somewhere up the Crazy River\”….:-)

COMMENT: Beach House -EN ROUTE- Georgetown, Guyana – Expect mid day arrivalThe weather has been calm and beautiful the last 24 hours and we did get to sail 50 miles of this leg. The moon was full, the seas flat and just enough wind to
move along smartly. We\’re 20 miles outside the dredged channel on the Demara River. Once there, it\’s 10-12 miles along the channel to the anchorage area.

COMMENT: Beach House -EN ROUTE- Suriname to Georgetown, Guyana (Former British Guyana)This morning we were abeam of Paramaribo, Suriname, but the conditions did not look good for an entry.
Lots of squalls, low visibility very muddy and VERY SHALLOW water over 11 miles off the coast. Less than 18 feet.
Hence, we decided to pass and take advantage of WIND and are running before it; main and pole to starboard with the genoa.
Blog updated soon..
